Gwyneth Paltrow Sabotaging Chris Martin, Dakota Johnson Relationship?

Gwyneth Paltrow is not trying to sabotage Chris Martin's relationship with Dakota Johnson because she believes the actress is too young for her ex-husband, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. A rep for Paltrow tells us it's simply "ridiculous."

A so-called "source" tells In Touch that Paltrow doesn't have any animosity towards Johnson, "but she wants Chris to settle down with someone older." The alleged insider further says the actress is plotting to tear them apart by "switching up the kids' schedule so Chris has to bail on his plans with Dakota," adding, "Things have slowed down between them because of it."

The suspicious tipster further contends that Paltrow's friends "think she can't handle Chris potentially marrying a young, hot actress," which is her main motivation for ruining his romance with Johnson. But Gossip Cop checked in with Paltrow's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the tabloid's claims are "ridiculous." The actress has no issue with her ex-husband dating the younger actress.

In fact, sources recently told Us Weekly that Paltrow completely approves of Martin's girlfriend. It's said the actress "only wants the best" for her ex-husband and father of her two kids. An insider further noted that Paltrow "trusts his judgment" and "doesn't scrutinize his choices or who he dates."

Additionally, Martin and Johnson attended Ellen DeGeneres' 60th birthday party last month, as did Paltrow and her fiancé Brad Falchuk. The two couples were reportedly very cordial at the event. In fact, Entertainment Tonight reported the situation with the headline, "Friendly Exes! Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin Party With Dakota Johnson."

It's worth noting, this isn't the first time we've had to debunk a similar type of narrative. Gossip Cop recently busted a phony tabloid story alleging that Paltrow and Johnson were "at war" over Martin, and the actress was threatening to get in the way of her ex-husband's relationship. Later, we busted a bogus report about Paltrow banning the actress from being around her kids.

Unfortunately, the tabloids have a habit of creating nonexistent drama surrounding famous exes and their new partners. But the dynamic between Paltrow, Martin and Johnson isn't at all contentious.
