Amber was in court on May 27, where she showed up with a bruise on her face. There, according to TMZ, she claimed that the actor "physically assaulted her" and said she is the victim of "repeated domestic violence."
In court several images were shown of Amber with various bruises, which she claims were done at the hands of Johnny. She also claimed that he hit her just two days before she filed for divorce, causing him to allegedly strike her in the face with an iPhone. She further claimed he offered her money to stay quiet about the alleged abuse.
With her lawyer by her side, the actress asked for a temporary restraining order, implying that there is an immediate threat. Johnny, however, isn't in Los Angeles, as he is out promoting his newest movie, "Alice Through The Looking Glass."
Depp was represented in court via his lawyer.
The shocking split between Johnny and Amber is getting increasingly vitriolic as the days go on.
The actress filed for divorce on May 23, just three days after Johnny's mother passed away. Many reports have claimed that Johnny's mother, Betty Sue Palmer, was no fan of Amber. The celebrity website said Johnny's family, including his mom, "hated" Amber and openly discussed it. Amber, they felt, would rail on Johnny and "treat him like crap."
There was thinking that she was using Johnny, a major movie star, for money and fame.
Since then, though, other sources have come out to counter that claim. Several media outlets have quoted sources indicating that Amber was at Betty Sue's bedside many times while she was in and out the hospital and even managed the schedules of the nurses Johnny hired.
On May 26, speculation arose that perhaps Amber was turning to her ex-girlfriend, Tasya Van Ree, as a bit of a shoulder to cry on. Just one day after news broke that Amber had filed for divorce, Tasya posted photos of a horse that looks a lot like Arrow, a horse that Johnny gifted to Amber in 2012 while he was wooing her.
"When I'm in Los Angeles, I come ride her five times a week," Amber told W Magazine in 2014. "No matter how crazy things get, Arrow will immediately get me back to normal."
