Cardi B just made a million dollars in a matter of minutes.
Over the weekend of Dec. 2, a Twitter troll tried to take down the Grammy winner while accusing her of "performing in someone's backyard" during Miami Art Basel. It turns out that "backyard" was actually the SLS South Beach property in Miami Beach, one of ritzier hotels in South Florida. Cardi also shut down the Twitter user in revealing her paycheck from that evening.

"I got [paid] 1 million dollars to perform at this elite bankers event private event for 400 people and only for 35 minutes," she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. "Think about that when you type about this Grammy winner."
According to reports, the gig was for Chase Sapphire Reserve credit cardmembers.
Dressed in a very risqué catsuit designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, Cardi surprised the Chase Sapphire Lounge audience by bringing Grammy nominee GloRilla onstage to perform their new song, "Tomorrow 2," DailyMail.com reported.
"Last night performing for the best bank in America! Performing is my passion… #lovewhatyoudo," she tweeted on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Cardi has bragged about her wealth before, as she once claimed she made $1 million per concert during her 2019 tour, which consisted of just seven shows. Further, in 2019, she had a brief residency deal at a since-shuttered Las Vegas nightclub. She was paid $300,000 for a 15-minute performance there. Other one-off gigs, particularly those in Europe, paid her even more.
