Michael Strahan's calling card — the easily distinguishable gap between his two front teeth — is now a distant memory… Or is it?
On Twitter, the "Good Morning America" co-host posted a video that seems to show him undergoing a procedure to fix the gap in his teeth, a physical trait he's known for.
"I did it. #GoodbyeGap," he captioned the video.
TMZ, however, said it's "not a permanent look," and claimed Michael got a removable dental piece that flawlessly blends in with his teeth and gives the look of perfect teeth.
In the video, the NFL legend speaks about potentially fixing his teeth with Dr. Lee Gause at Smile Design Manhattan. He also indicates that he didn't discuss the change with anyone because they would have tried to talk him out of it. The comments on his Twitter post seemed to largely echo this.
"If I go home and say I'm going to do it, it will be 'Don't do it.' If I post, it will be 'Don't do it.' If I talk to my friends, it will be 'Don't do it.' If I talk to my business partner, it will be like, 'Don't do it,'" Michael told the dentist. "But I gotta do what I want to do for myself."
After seeing his "new" smile for the first time, Michael seems thrilled with the results.

The timing of the alleged procedure is somewhat suspicious, considering April Fool's Day is right around the corner. Plus, just last week, Michael spoke about loving his tooth gap.
"I rock my gap with pride!" he tweeted. "It's who I am!"
