Aaron Phypers' feelings are mirroring those of his wife, Denise Richards, when it comes to family drama surrounding her ex-husband and their daughter.
In the aftermath of Denise and Charlie's 17-year-old daughter, Sami, packing up and deciding to move in with the "Two and a Half Men" star, Aaron is reportedly "heartbroken," as is his wife of three years.
"Aaron's a kind man," a source told Page Six. "He's in a tough role, but he keeps his cool. He's heartbroken because Denise is heartbroken that Charlie is pulling this after all she has done for him."
Earlier this week, a judge granted "Major League" star's request to stop paying his ex-wife child support for Sami and Lola, 16, who Denise and Charlie share. The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum was said to have been "blindsided" by the ruling, with one of her friends arguing that Denise was out of state and unaware that a court hearing was even happening.
"Charlie filed [to stop paying child support] two years ago and kept pushing the court date, so Denise was very surprised that it happened yesterday while she is out of town filming," a source told People magazine.
When told of Denise's unhappiness with the ruling and the way it happened, Charlie unapologetically told a paparazzi cameraman on Oct. 6 that the "Wild Things" actress "should go down to the courthouse and complain to the judge."
Last month, Sami brought attention to her living situation after claiming she moved out of an "abusive household" that she was "trapped" in. Although she didn't give any details involved with her allegations, she strongly implied that she was living with Denise. The teen also said on social media that her mom had been trying to kick her out. Denise chalked it up to teenage angst.
"[Aaron] is upset because his wife is upset that Charlie is playing this game with the kids," the source said. "Denise is heartbroken that Charlie has taken this road. She loves those kids."
