Jennifer Lopez celebrated America's birthday a few days early, pre-taping a performance for Macy's Fourth of July celebration in New York City on June 30. And though there may not have been literal fireworks yet, sparks were definitely flying between the superstar and her beau, Alex Rodriguez, who was on hand to support his lady.
The duo were photographed sharing the look of love — and a sweet smooch — following her performance, during which she risked a wardrobe malfunction in a bejeweled long-sleeved black frock with a high collar and hip-high slits.
Before the gig, during which J.Lo debuted her new song "Ni Tu Ni Yo," she took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and Alex snuggling on a sofa in her trailer.
"Ni tu Ni yo ❤️ #preshowpic," she wrote in the caption.
She also paid homage to her love during the concert!
Jennifer donned a bedazzled New York Yankees baseball cap and danced with a stick that was wrapped at the grip to resemble a baseball bat.
A-Rod returned the favor by taking to Instagram to post a video previewing a snippet of his girlfriend's new song.
"Lola in the City… #nituniyo #NYC #4thofjulyweekend," he wrote in the caption. (Lola is Jennifer's former alter ego, who hasn't been referenced much in recent years.)
It appears the duo's offspring may have also been on hand.
Alex and Jennifer were spotted chatting with two little girls who look an awful lot like her daughter, Emme, and his younger daughter, Ella.
The father of two could be seen smiling down at the smaller girl with a hand resting affectionately on her back.
"Jennifer and Alex's children came running up to them and they all embraced in a group hug under the moonlight," described a photographer who witnessed the interaction.
The couple have already shared photos of their kids hanging out together on Instagram.
Earlier in the day, J.Lo showed off her famous figure during rehearsals for the Fourth of July show.
She was photographed flaunting her toned torso in black workout pants and a hot pink sweater.
Fireworks indeed!
