Being victimized by online trolls is a family affair for the Teigens.
While it's well known that critics often come at Chrissy Teigen — so much that she temporarily quit Twitter last month — it turns out that her mother, Vilailuck "Pepper" Teigen, is often targeted by keyboard warriors, as well.
"I got some part of that too," Pepper told Page Six. "But we can't do anything about that at all. She [Chrissy] asks me to not respond. That's all that I can do, but I get it every day."
Chrissy's mom often pops up in the model's Instagram feed, which is certainly a big reason that online shade is thrown her way.
"But it's OK because I'm older so I can take it," says Pepper, who, like her daughter, is now a published cookbook writer.
In late March, Pepper's famous daughter announced that she was quitting Twitter.
"My desire to be liked and fear of p—ing people off has made me somebody you didn't sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as!," she told her 13.6 million followers at the time.
Then, just three weeks later, in mid-April, she triumphantly returned to Twitter.
"Turns out it feels TERRIBLE to silence yourself and also no longer enjoy belly chuckles randomly throughout the day and also lose like 2000 friends at once lol," she tweeted. "I choose to take the bad with the good!!"
Chrissy seems to have a love-hate relationship with Twitter. Back in 2017, she was famously blocked by then-President Trump for being critical of him. Then, after Joe Biden took over the Oval Office, she begged him to follow her, which he did. Then, a month later, she asked the POTUS to unfollow her so that she could "flourish."
"I love you!!! It's not you it's me!!!!'' she wrote.
Less than two hours later, Biden unfollowed Chrissy.
