There's no question as to Ryan Reynolds' preference to take over as "Jeopardy!" host.

Like much of the Internet, the actor is throwing his support behind LeVar Burton, the longtime host of the beloved children's TV show "Reading Rainbow." In fact, Ryan sees similarities between the public's clear support of LeVar and the public's rallying for a "Deadpool" movie before one was ever made.
"Pretty consistently from 2013 to 2015 Deadpool would explode on Twitter with fans wanting me to play him. It was awkward because I agreed with them but the studio didn't see it," Ryan tweeted. "Ultimately the fans won and the rest is glorious history. I'm forever grateful."
Ryan then ended his tweet by writing, "Hi @levarburton."
LeVar saw the tweet and responded with several praying hands emojis and a heart emoji.

Fans of LeVar were disappointed when the quiz show named executive producer Mike Richards as the late Alex Trebek's successor. However, several previous offensive comments resurfaced afterward and Mike soon faced public pressure to resign. On Aug. 20, just nine days after being tabbed as host, Mike stepped down.
"I was deeply honored to be asked to host the syndicated show and was thrilled by the opportunity to expand my role," he said in an Aug. 20 statement. "However, over the last several days it has become clear that moving forward as host would be too much of a distraction for our fans and not the right move for the show."
Fans are hoping the door is again open for LeVar.
