Sharna Burgess and Brian Austin Green are partners on and off the dance floor, regardless of the persistent rumors claiming otherwise.
"This isn't a showmance, this is real life love and it's a part of our journey. Every step. Every struggle. Every success," she wrote in a lengthy Instagram post. "And anyone that thinks it's an advantage I can assure you, it's not. ITS SUPER HARD!"
The ballroom pro and the "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum began dating in the summer of 2020 before Brian was cast on "Dancing With the Stars," but they've been plagued by speculation that the romance is fake and was crafted to garner votes on the ABC show.
"We both wanted to push harder this week because we really want those scores to keep us in the competition, but in the process we had a few moments of feeling hyper sensitive toward each other and struggled to find a happy positive work flow," she said. "Coaching your boyfriend is hard, and having your girlfriend be the one to tell you all the s*** you're doing wrong is also hard."

In her Instagram post, Sharna shared a series of images from rehearsal.
"I am still trying to find balance between how much I love him and how much I love to create and coach for perfection on this show," she said. "What I do know is I'm grateful for every second I get on that dance floor with him. What a dream to share this."
The dance pro's message was posted before the duo's tango on the Oct. 4 program, and they garnered enough votes to get into the next round.
"Shock. Relief. Gratitude. Love," Sharna captioned a series of images from the evening.
