No one really expected Jennifer Lopez's romance with backup dancer-turned-choreographer Casper Smart to last. But nearly three years later, they're still together, although the rumor mill is wondering (yet again) if their days are numbered. At issue: rumblings that Smart's eye may have wandered after two transgender models claimed they traded suggestive messages with him.
"Jennifer is getting tired of all these allegations. She doesn't need this drama and is ready to move on," a source tells Page Six, with another adding to Radar Online, "This relationship is all but over."
A People insider adds that the pair were already having problems before the messaging reports surfaced.
"Now all this stuff comes out about sexting," sighs the confidant "They're still together, technically, but no idea for how long."
J.Lo, 44, has been in New York this week to promote her charitable efforts, and she's set to give a free concert on Wednesday in her hometown of the Bronx.
"The focus should be on her work for the foundation and the concert, not Casper Smart," harrumphs the Page Six spy. Concurs the People source, "She couldn't be in better shape professionally. Personally, it's a bit more tricky."
Lopez was most recently seen soaking up the sun with Smart, 27, on May 28 in Laguna Beach, Calif.
The two began dating in the fall of 2011, a few months after Jennifer parted ways with husband No. 3 Marc Anthony after seven years of marriage and one set of twins.
Less than a year into the relationship, she defended Smart against tabloid accusations that he'd visited an "exotic" massage parlor, calling the claims "false, malicious and defamatory." Despite whispers of an imminent breakup, they weathered the storm.
"I'm one of those people who does not like to be alone," Lopez said in January. "I have no shame saying that at this point in my life. I think we have to own who we are."
