It's official! Duchess Kate's little sister is getting married. Pippa Middleton, 32, stepped out in London flashing her new engagement bling from her fiancé James Matthews, 40, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
The duo, who have been dating for under a year, got engaged over the weekend while on vacation in England's Lake District. They originally began a relationship in 2012, but broke up for three years before rekindling their romance.
From the looks of it, the center stone on her vintage-looking sparkler is presumed to be "a 4 carat Asscher cut diamond," according to the creative director of 77 Diamonds, David Allen, via the Daily Mail.
Jewelry concierge Neil Geddes called the piece "art deco inspired," but "likely contemporary made."
Pippa and her hedge fund manager love released a statement following their engagement, announcing that they plan to tie the knot in 2017.
"Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr. James Matthews are delighted to announce they became engaged on Sunday, July 17, and plan to marry next year."
Her sister also commented on the big news in a message from Kensington Palace.
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news."
Likewise, Pippa's dad Michael Middleton spoke on behalf of himself and his wife in regards to his daughter's plans to get hitched.
"Carole [Middleton] and I are absolutely thrilled with the news," he wrote. "They make a wonderful couple and we wish them every happiness together."
Pippa is a successful party planner and published author, having written a book on her craft called "Celebrate" in 2012.
