Kristen Bell isn't letting quarantine stand in the way of a "perfect" 40th birthday party.
On Saturday, July 18, the former star of "The Good Place" posted an Instagram video showing herself talking to the camera in the dark.
"Well, we just wrapped up what I would say is the perfect 40th birthday party, which consisted of my friends and family that are in our pod right now, eating great food from a local restaurant, sitting on our porch watching the kids play, and basically playing cards all afternoon," the mom of two explained. "It was pretty perfect."
Bell explained that as she grows older, she no longer has an interest in buying anything — "other than peace of mind." With that in mind, she explained that for her birthday she would be making a donation to Immigrant Families Together. The charity is dedicated to reuniting and supporting families who have been separated along the US/Mexico border.
Bell finished her video with a special birthday wish from a pal. "As Monica Padman reminded me tonight, only 60 years left," she grimaced.
Bell's husband Dax Shepard also shared his birthday wishes for his wife on Instagram. The actor shared a shirtless photo of himself standing with his wife, who is holding one of their daughters.
"Happiest birthday most beautifulest buddy @kristenanniebell," he wrote. "Thank you for this suspiciously great life you've made for us."
