"Adam West exemplified heroism. Kind, funny and an all around great guy. Thank you for showing us all how it's done." —Ben Affleck, the latest actor to play Batman
"So sorry to hear about the passing of Adam West. Still can't believe we worked with him on our 200th episode @bigbangtheory_cbs ❤️ he was as cool as you would imagine him to be … #batman" —Kaley Cuoco
"I am devastated at the loss of one my very dearest friends. Adam and I had a special friendship for more than 50 years. We shared some of the most fun times of our lives together. Our families have deep love and respect for each other. This is a terribly unexpected loss of my lifelong friend. I will forever miss him. There are several fine actors who have portrayed Batman in films. In my eyes, there was only one real Batman that is and always will be Adam West. He was truly the Bright Night." –Burt Ward, who played Robin to Adam West's Batman
"Adam set the bar so high for portraying the role of Batman. He was wonderful, spot on, with a twinkle in his eye. He had it all — looks, charm, intelligence, I could go on and on. In conversation, he was very animated and once told me that Batman was the father that everyone wanted! I never thought of it that way! He had a great way of playing that 'tongue-in-cheek' nature in so much of the dialogue." –Julie Newmar to "ET"
"Adam West gave probably the most inspired and ingenious performances in the history of television. He is revered by my generation of comic minds. He was also a lovely and sweet man, and it was a rare honor to know him." –Conan O'Brien
"Family Guy has lost its mayor, and I have lost a friend. Adam West was a joy to work with, and the kind of guy you always wanted to be around. His positivity, good nature, and sense of fun were undeniable, and it was always a big jolt of the best kind of energy when he walked in to record the show. He knew comedy, and he knew humanity. I am beyond fortunate to have had the privilege of working with him, and he will be profoundly missed by all of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have given, Mr. Mayor. You're irreplaceable" –Seth MacFarlane
"Rest In Peace, Adam West" —Alyssa Milano
"Oh Batman my Batman! I'm standing on my chair to honor #adamwest – the man whose portrayal of costumed justice made me wanna be a good person when I was a boy. The #adamwestbatman was my first Batman at age 4. His performance was campy to most, but to me, that's how true heroes spoke. A lifelong love of the character started with Mr. West's interpretation of what he called, instead of the Dark Knight, the Bright Knight. He brought joy to a somber character and a Fatherly tone to a TV role model. I was lucky enough to meet Adam many times, including the day at @stanleecomiccon when super-fan @ralphgarman and I hosted Adam, Boy Wonder #burtward and movie Catwoman #leemerriweather (where we took this pic). He was pure love and joy. He remained my hero, even in adulthood, as well as a real life role model for interacting with fans. Adam loved his fans – especially #ralphgarman, who worked tirelessly to get Adam a star on the @officialhollywoodwalkoffame. Farewell, Caped Crusader. Off to Superhero Heaven you go, where all your rascally rogues are ready to see you again! Atomic batteries to power. Turbines to speed. Heart to broken. #KevinSmith #adamwest #batman #foreverbatman #rip #legend #icon" –Kevin Smith

"Growing up an only child television became like a friend , it was the sound of the television that made me feel like I was never alone , my earliest memories are more tied to my favorite shows more than they are to people , since my family weren't really around much and no offense to them but they weren't as interesting as my TV family , sitting in my grandmother's house and hearing the opening song to Batman with the animated opening with the spinning logo and Batman and Robin fighting bad with and every punch had a BAM , POW , BOOM , in the last few seasons a Motorcycle would ride by at the end and everyone knew that Batgirl was on that show .. Everything about Batman I loved , the way Adam West would bounce into a room or when he danced that was #chingon .. Im honored to have these memories of Adam West but im especially proud of the fact that Adam West guest starred on #georgelopez Show playing my moms attorney, I can remember overwhelming him that first week with things to sign for everybody on the show , he actually told his agent that first week felt like a signing #gacho but we got it all worked out and he was brilliant , in the episodes we wrote that he slept with the judge played by Marilyn Milan he said " I proceeded to Hit it, and as the young people say quit it " #chingon, he also appeared on #lopeztonight where Jaime Foxx and I were carjacking the bat mobile ( the actual bat mobile ) and @iamjamiefoxx takes off and Adam cuffs me , he was an incredible actor and voice actor as well but more importantly he was a Hero of Mine who exceed my expectations when meeting him , tonight im gonna look up in the sky when I used to pretend I would see the Batman logo and im gonna say Thanks Adam West and Thank Batman for me too #respectfully the little boy from 14713 Hagar St" –George Lopez
