"It was different several years ago when I couldn't be as vocal and I had to wear nude pantyhose (tights) all the time," Meghan Markle told Emily Chang on The Circuit when discussing her time living in the U.K. "Let's be honest, that was not very myself. That felt a little bit inauthentic."

Matt Wilkinson slammed Meghan Markle's comments, as the duchess hasn't been a working member of the royal family for five years.
"There are tasteful ways of doing it (sharing emotions)," Wilkinson told
The Sun. "I probably wouldn't recommend the juxtaposition of Meghan going to
Bloomberg and saying that it was really tough living in the royal family because she had to wear pantyhose."

In Harry & Meghan, Meghan Markle's wardrobe became a topic of conversation, as she used her clothing to "blend in" and avoid taking attention away from her in-laws.
"Most of the time that I was in the U.K., I rarely wore color," the Suits star said. "There was thought in that, to my understanding, you can't ever wear the same color as her Majesty if there's a group event."

Meghan Markle said one of the reasons she fled the U.K. was due to her mental health deteriorating.
"It was only once we were married, everything started to worsen, that I came to understand that not only was I not being protected, they (the 'Institution') were willing to lie to protect other members of the family," Meghan told Oprah Winfrey during the couple's explosive CBS interview.
