In September, King Charles III and
Prince Harry are expected make a joint appearance in London after
reportedly not seeing each other for 20 months. According to a source, they may finally be ready to talk through their problems. "Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry," the source said, emphasizing the "determination on both sides to make this happen." Added the insider, "For the first time in a long time, there's a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach." Harry's wife,
Meghan Markle, is not expected to attend the gathering.

Not only is
Prince Harry on the cusp of restoring friendly relations with King Charles III, but he's also reportedly in communication with key people associated with the firm. "
Prince Harry's team and the palace have opened a line of communication and there's hope that father and son will see one another when the duke returns to London in September," another insider said. A separate palace source, meanwhile, noted there is a "feeling the time is right" for everyone to come together while "privacy and dignity" are top priorities.

During an interview earlier this year,
Prince Harry admitted that King Charles III refused to speak with him after he took legal action against the government to restore his security privileges, which he lost when he retired from his role as a working royal. "There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family," Harry said. "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious."
