David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are being blasted for buying a fancy Miami condo for $20 million after the former Spice Girl requested $185,000 from British taxpayers to help fund her fashion line amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Page Six, the Beckhams scooped up a ritzy condo in One Thousand Museum that comes with its own private elevator and a wrap-around terrace.

This purchase comes around the time Victoria initially said she was going to furlough 30 staff members from her fashion line. She has since reversed course. She also said she was no longer seeking government assistance after asking for $185,000 to bail out the fashion line.
Together, David and Victoria are said to be worth nearly $900 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
Following the furlough reversal, she released a statement reading, "At the beginning of the lockdown the shareholders agreed with senior management to furlough a small proportion of staff. At that point we didn't know how long the lockdown might last or its likely impact on the business. The welfare of my team and our business means everything to me. These are tough times and tough decisions and we don't always get it right – all we can say is we are trying to protect our business and our staff."

Despite the bad optics, the couple proceeded with the purchase of the swanky Miami condo, which overlooks Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline.
The couple plans to spend ample time in Miami now that the former soccer star is a partial owner of the new Inter Miami FC team.
