Cameron Diaz left Hollywood in the dust eight years ago, and she has no regrets — partially because it allowed her to ditch societal beauty standards.
"I am absolutely a victim to all of the societal objectifications and exploitations that women are subjected to," she told "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Michelle Visage on her new podcast "Rule Breakers." "I have bought into all of them myself at certain times. It's hard not to, it's hard not to look at yourself and judge yourself against other markers of beauty."
These days, Cameron doesn't pay any mind to those standards.
"I'm like wild, I'm like a wild animal, I'm a beast," she joked. "I don't care."
The former "Charlie's Angels" actress said her appearance is "literally the last thing" she thinks about daily. She'll go full days without thinking about it, in fact.
Despite having "a billion [beauty] products," the mom-of-one said she "never" even washes her face.
"Twice a month if I'm lucky, I'll be like 'Oh, I better put this on. One time works, right?' Like is that all I have to do? I'm just not in that place right now like where I put any energy," she said, noting her main focus these days is to "stay strong."
Cameron, who shares a 2-year-old daughter Raddix with husband Benji Madden, hasn't acted in anything since 2014's "Annie." In January, she and the Good Charlotte musician celebrated their seventh anniversary together with sweet messages to one another.
"Today 7 years married ❤️ Always dreamed of having a family like this," wrote Benji, 42. "Happy, peaceful, consistent, loyal and unconditional equally filled with passion and depth. Calling it a Honeymoon doesn't cover it. Real life. The only real challenge we have is making time go slower cause life goes by fast in the happy lane, Always and forever knowing we are home @camerondiaz Happy Anniversary I love you!❤️❤️❤️"
Cameron, 49, replied with an equally smitten note for her rocker husband in the comments. "I ✨❤️✨YOU MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY. Happy, peaceful, consistent, loyal and unconditional. Passionate and deep = OUR LOVE," she wrote. "LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS ✨❤️✨."
