Having been one of the highest paid actor's on TV, it would be easy to assume that Kelsey Grammer has lead a charmed life. Nothing could be further from the truth.
To start, the "Frasier" star's father, Frank, was murdered in 1968 during a home invasion. At the time, Kelsey was 13. Then, seven years later, his sister, Karen, was kidnapped, raped and murdered. The tormented family history continued in 1980 when the actor's two half-brothers died in a scuba diving accident.

On the personal front, Kelsey, 66, has battled substance abuse issues over the years.
Still, the "Cheers" alum refuses to groan about his history.
"I don't complain about my life," he told Page Six. "It was an extraordinary challenge a lot of the time, and there's been a lot of pain and a lot of great joy. I wouldn't trade a moment of it except to possibly bring back some people I care about."

Kelsey seems to have found his happiness, having married his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh, in 2011. They share three children together, but the actor is also the father to four other children.
"I've very blessed that I got a chance to live several lives, and that's been a great, great satisfaction for me," he said. "To have young children at this time of my life is just one of the most amazing joys a person could have. And to have my older children as well, it's a true blessing. I mean, I have been given great gifts."
"You know, as corny as it sounds, a day at a time," he continued. "You have to keep your chin up, not give in."
