Elon Musk is blaming higher eduction as a predominant factor in the increasingly-strained relationship with his daughter.
Over the summer, the Tesla founder's 18-year-old daughter announced that she's transgender and was ditching her famous last name in an effort to distance herself from her dad. After remaining mum about the change for months, Elon has now broken his silence.

Vivian Jenna Wilson is being influenced by "neo-Marxists" at educational institutions, Elon told the Financial Times of his eldest child.
"It's full-on communism and a general sentiment that if you're rich, you're evil," he said.
While Elon admits that things between himself and his daughter need repairing, he believes their relationship "may change" in the future.
"I have very good relationships with all the others," he said of his six other children. "Can't win them all."

Back in June, Vivian petitioned to have her name changed while claiming the reason for the change is due to "gender Identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."
Vivian's mother, Justine Wilson, backed her daughter, relaying a conversation the two had on Twitter.
"I had a weird childhood. I can't believe I'm as normal-seeming as I am," Vivian told her mom. Justine, a novelist who was married to Elon from 2000 to 2008, replied, "I'm very proud of you," to which Vivian said, "I'm proud of myself!"
