The final five gymnasts were missing a teammate at the 2016 MTV VMAs.

Gabby Douglas was hospitalized and could not join her fellow gymnasts on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28.

The 20-year-old shared a photo before the awards show began to let fans know that she was out of the hospital and resting up.

"Out of the hospital & resting comfortably! #FinalFive so sad I can't be with u all to present tonite😩 @MTV thank u❣ xoxo 💋 #VMAs #myview," she captioned her sad snap of herself lying in bed on Instagram.

The three-time gold medalist was set to present an award with Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman.

Although the final five did not look right without her, the four did look fab! MTV shared a photo of them on the red carpet to celebrate how far they've come from Rio de Janeiro as gold medalists to the VMAs!

As for Gabby, she's been having a difficult run since Rio after being bullied on Twitter for not placing her hand over her heart for the national anthem during their gold medal ceremony.

She also was bullied for her hair and for not looking happy enough for her teammates while she was in the stands.

"I tried to stay off the internet because there's just so much negativity," she said at the time. "Either it was about my hair or my hand not over my heart or I look depressed. It was hurtful. It was hurtful. It was. It's been kind of a lot to deal with."

She further added, "I apologized if I offended anyone. I've always said it was an honor to represent the U.S. You always do this for your country, and then, like people say, for yourself and other people."

While she has yet to say why she was hospitalized, Gabby has been receiving a lot of Instagram love with over 1,000 comments wishing her well.

Feel better, Gabby!
