Josh Groban has gotten a restraining order against a woman who he claims has been harassing him for nine years — ever since he canceled their date.

TMZ reports Josh was set to go on a date with the woman in 2011, having met her through a mutual Facebook friend. However, he called off the date — which would have been their first in-person meeting — because he was sick.
After that, Josh claims the woman began pestering him about meeting up, so he decided against it. She has continued to harass him via texts, emails and direct messages for nearly a decade, he says.
According to his complaint, the woman has sent him incredibly graphic sexual messages and has tried contacting his girlfriend and family members. The woman, Josh added, has been removed from several of his performances, and she's turned up at various places he's staying.

In early 2020, Josh sent the woman a cease and desist letter after he bought a new home in Los Angeles. The woman, he alleges, told him she knew where he lived. Per TMZ's report, Josh claims "she even sent a package to his home in early May that consisted of a small skull, a flower, and a book with handwritten notes in it that were sexual in nature and made it clear she would never stop."
The singer also claims the woman allegedly went to his home in late May to drop off gifts.
A judge granted Josh's request, ordering the woman to keep 100 yards away from him, his family and his girlfriend. The woman is also prohibited from contacting any of the involved parties online.
