The Duke's Course in Fife, Scotland, named after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, will be rebranded as the Craigtoun Course. The 65-year-old opened the greenery in 1995. According to Daily Record, Mountbatten-Windsor relinquished his honorary membership at the club. The establishment's logo will also be altered to remove any links to the royals._
The course will switch management from the Old Course Hotel's operator Kohler to the St. Andrews Links Trust in January. "The agreement for The Craigtoun Course will see the first new course added to the Home of Golf's portfolio in 18 years and presents an ideal opportunity to expand the golf experiences we offer," St. Andrews Links Trust Chief Executive Neil Coulson said in a statement._
While not mentioning Andrew-Mountbatten-Windsor's scandal, Neil Coulson praised the smooth transition. "We are delighted to have reached an agreement with the Old Course Hotel and look forward to taking over what is already a significant asset for St. Andrews and Scotland and building on its reputation," he added._
King Charles III removed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's titles and forced him out of Royal Lodge after more allegations of misconduct came to light in connection with his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.As a result, the father of two's position as Knight of the Order of the Garter and Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order was rescinded. Queen Elizabeth II previously took away his military and charity patronages in 2022.
