A royal commentator weighed in on Meghan Markle's business, As Ever, and its trajectory."Audiences now want authentic, unfiltered, realistic content, not hypocrisy from an anti-royal rebel who fled the tyranny of inherited wealth and privilege, only to use this legacy to further her brand at every opportunity," columnist Jan Moir wrote for Daily Mail. "On and on it goes in this netherworld of nothingness — this supposed elevation of the ordinary into the extraordinary."

"Of course, it is early days for As Ever, and teething problems come with any brand," Jan Moir continued. "Yet there can be no denying the lack of clear identity and audience connection, no matter how many flowers Meghan sprinkles on top."When Meghan first announced her business, it was initially named American Riviera Orchard, but things changed after the Duchess of Sussex failed to secure a trademark.

Aside from her branding struggles, Meghan Markle's Netflix series With Love, Meghan, helped her promote As Ever products. However, it's unclear if the series was renewed."Who knows what 2026 holds for As Ever, but it seems unlikely that she can rely on another Netflix series to help the brand. There is only so much the public can take," Jan Moir said. "It may have been thoughtfully curated by the Duchess of Sussex, but can As Ever last forever? Or even until next Christmas?"

While speaking on a panel for Fortune magazine, Meghan Markle dodged questions about With Love, Meghan being renewed."So I think looking at that format — again, it's a year of learns — so we're able to say, 'Eight episodes for two seasons — it's a lot of work,' " she said after being asked about her show being renewed. "And having done Suits for seven years, I remember what goes into a production. I also recognize how much people want content in different sizes."
