According to former Buckingham Palace employee
Paul Page, key evidence regarding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor could be at risk if the police don't act quickly. "My colleagues are frightened to come forward, even if they did have evidence… because they've signed non-disclosure agreements, just like I did," he told

While none would speak on specifics, former royal protection officer
Dai Davies claimed Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's outlandish nature never changed. "[Andrew] was known as a blabbermouth, and interestingly,
Edward VIII, his uncle, was also known as a blabbermouth because he spoke freely to journalists," he told
Daily Mail's "
Palace Confidential" podcast. "He couldn't be trusted either, but this has been allowed to fester until we've now reached this stage."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly giving information to Jeffrey Epstein when he served as England's trade envoy. "Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office," Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright confirmed in a statement. "It is important that we protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation as we work with our partners to investigate this alleged offense. We understand the significant public interest in this case and we will provide updates at the appropriate time."

Before being taken into custody, the U.S. Department of Justice released additional files linking Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to Jeffrey Epstein, including photos of him hovering over an anonymous woman lying on the floor. "These photos of Andrew with an unidentified woman in the files linked to the deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, coming after a recently released photograph of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lying across four women at Sandringham, will bring more embarrassment for the royal family,"
Richard Fitzwilliams told
Daily Express. "We don't know when they were taken or the context and he has denied all wrongdoing, but they will seem extremely d******, especially to a public, where, in the latest YouGov poll, he [Andrew] has only 6% support."
