Anna Nicole Smith once reluctantly celebrated her birthday by channeling another blond bombshell.
The model's former partner Larry Birkhead shared the incredible story in an Instagram post earlier this month, recalling Anna's refusal to join the festivities.
"One year, Anna Nicole wouldn't come downstairs at her house to celebrate her birthday. She wasn't in the best mood and I think she (like most women in Hollywood) just didn't like getting older," he wrote alongside never-before-seen pictures of the late star. "In order to get her to come down the stairs to celebrate she said she wanted to play dress up or she wasn't coming downstairs. I asked her who she decided she wanted to be."
Eventually, she decided she wanted to dress up as Pamela Anderson.
Larry, who shares 13-year-old daughter Dannielynn Birkhead with Anna, said he drew barbed wire on Anna's arm to mimic Pam's tattoo.
"She made me go to the costume shop in Studio City and buy fake breasts. I asked her why, she said she wanted 'Pam's' breast bigger than hers," Larry said. "Anna somehow thought Pam Anderson stole a saying off a t-shirt in Anna's Tex-Sex clothing line that was in development that said 'Back Off I'm With The Band.' (Pam's t-shirt was slightly different)."
While a NSFW banner hung above, Larry recalled Anna "poured water all over the breasts laughed, then opened her presents."
Larry was quick to point out that the Anna's costume wasn't meant as a slight to the former "Baywatch" star.
"I have met Pam before and she was super sweet and nice," he said. "Actually Anna went to an event after that where Pam was so really I think Anna was just being silly."
Anna passed away in 2007 of an accidental drug overdose at the age of 39. Her death came just five after her son, Daniel, died. A jury determined he also died of an accidental overdose.
