Martha Stewart knew what she was doing when she posted that now-legendary photo from her pool last week.
"That's definitely a thirst trap," she happily told "Entertainment Tonight," while acknowledging that the term "thirst trap" had to be explained to her.
The lifestyle guru, who turns 79 next week, said she liked her surroundings and liked how sultry she looked that day.
"My camera came on backwards, you know, selfie mode, and I looked so nice. The sun was on my face. I thought, 'Oh, that looks pretty,' so I took the picture," she said. "It looked good."

When Martha posted the image, she avoided being self-gratuitous in the caption, simply speaking about her pool. But the comments section of her Instagram lit up afterward.
"Omg martha!!!!!! Va va voom!!!!" one person wrote. Reese Witherspoon called Martha a "stunner."
Chelsea Handler even recreated the look.
"I do think my pool is a little bit prettier than yours and that my facial expression is a little bit more relaxed," Martha commented on the comedian's version of the look, also telling Chelsea she's "too young" to emulate her. "Nevertheless you are a beautiful girl."
