Senator Ted Cruz always seems to be in a feud with a celebrity, and his current foe is now Patton Oswalt.
On Sept. 9, the Texas Senator tried to shade Patton after seeing that the comedian canceled shows in Utah and Florida because the venues wouldn't require COVID vaccinations or negative tests.
"Both of his fans were disappointed," Ted jabbed.
All that did was fire up Patton, who unleashed a stream of blistering tweets aimed at the politician. The "Happy!" star ripped Cruz for a variety of things, including his retreat to Cancun when Texas was in a deep freeze and his objection to President Biden's win, which came before the Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6.
"(sigh) Okay Ted, here we go… Not as disappointed as Texas was when you cut your Cancun vacation short and came home," he responded. "Ted, you Tweeted this at 1am. Put the phone down and return to liquid form for a few hours."
He continued, "Ted, my fans are all at home, waiting to see you at the January 6th hearings."
"I'm so flattered you took time from your porn scrolling for this, Ted," he added. "Well, that was fun. As always Ted, you're a friendless, cowardly embarrassment and your beard looks stupid."
Over the years, Cruz has exchanged words with Seth Rogen, Jimmy Kimmell, Trevor Noah, Ron Perlman and "The Princess Bride" star Cary Elwes.
Seth recently addressed his Twitter battle with the senator with Stephen Colbert. "Feud implies equal ground," he said. "If someone's trying to murder someone with a baseball bat and someone is yelling that person to stop, is that a feud between the baseball bat-wielder and the person yelling at the baseball bat-wielder? I don't know if that's a feud. Feud implies two people hitting each other with baseball bats."
