Prince Harry, Duchess Meghan spark friendship with Adele in L.A.: Details

In the few months that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have lived in Los Angeles following their exit as working senior members of Britain's royal family, they've struck up a few friendships.

One of those, claims a new report, is with another famous England-to-Hollywood transplant: Adele.

The British singer and the royals currently live close to each other in Beverly Hills, reports Britain's Daily Mirror. While Adele owns her home, where she lives with son Angelo following her 2019 split from husband Simon Konecki, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been staying at entertainer and filmmaker Tyler Perry's ultra-private Tuscan-style mansion with son Archie, 1, and their two dogs.

"Adele's just five minutes from Harry and Meghan and they've swapped notes on the area," a source told the Daily Mirror. "Adele loves the neighborhood. She's also recommended her 4-year-old son Angelo's preschool and discreet places to take Archie where they won't be bombarded by fans."

Reports have revealed that Harry and Meghan are hoping to buy a home base in the L.A. area — it's where Meghan grew up and where her mother, Doria Ragland, still lives — but with the coronavirus pandemic raging on, they have yet to decide on where, exactly, they want to put down roots.

"Meghan and Harry want to see how they get on in the area first before they commit to buying somewhere," the source explained.

According to the U.K. newspaper, the Sussexes and Adele first bonded in late 2018 while visiting a community kitchen serving families affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.

It also points out that back in 2011, Adele spoke about then-bachelor Harry, telling Glamour magazine that she was "after" the party prince because she thought his love of a good time would be a "right laugh." According to the source, Adele has since joked about her comments with Meghan.

The trio's growing friendship has been a boon in the wake of Harry and Meghan's tension-filled exit from British royal life. "All three of them get on so well," said the source. "Meghan admires how Adele has managed to keep out of the spotlight despite being a huge star. And she is a big fan of her album '21,' which she says helped her through her divorce from [producer Trevor] Engelson."

The Sussexes moved to L.A. this spring after first spending several months based in a rental home on Canada's Vancouver Island. It's believed that Tyler offered them the use of his place — a 25,000-square-foot mega-mansion with eight bedrooms and 12 bathrooms that's located inside a 14-home guard-gated community — after they all struck up a relationship via mutual friend Oprah Winfrey.

It's happening!

After COVID delay, the 'Friends' reunion finally gets film date

The cast of "Friends" will finally be there for us.

The much-discussed — and hotly anticipated — "Friends" reunion for HBO Max was initially set to be filmed in March 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID pandemic. Since then, there's been very little movement.

During a March 3 chat with Andy Cohen, David Schwimmer, who famously played Ross Geller, said the cast will shoot the special very soon.

"Actually, in a little over a month I'm heading out to L.A.," David said when asked if the famous cast had shot anywhere. "So, finally, I mean, we figured out a way to film it safely and there's going to be a portion of it that we filmed outside because of, you know, for safety protocols."

Last year, it was essentially etched in stone that Ellen DeGeneres would host the reunion between David, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry. But, following her tumultuous 2020, plans changed. Andy then pressed David on who the host will be.

"You know what, I don't know if I can [say] actually," David said. "Yeah. Should've found that out. Um, all right. It's not Ellen. It's not Billy Crystal. I could tell you who it's not."

In February 2020, it was confirmed that all six original cast members will reunite for an exclusive untitled unscripted special, which was set to air last spring. After the announcement, Courteney expressed her excitement on an episode of "Hiking with Kevin."

"So the exciting thing is that we're all going to get together for the first time, in a room, and actually talk about the show, and it's going to be on HBO Max, and I'm so excited. We're going to have the best time. It's going to be great," she said. "But we really haven't all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had. It's gonna be fantastic."

Home sweet home

Kim Kardashian to keep L.A. mansion in divorce: Report

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's mansion near Los Angeles will stay home sweet home for her.

TMZ is reporting that she will keep the house in the divorce.

Interestingly, the home, located in Hidden Hills near the rest of Kim's famous family, was designed by Kanye as part of a passion project. But, it's the only home that the couple's four children have known, so the duo want that stability for their sake. Plus, the webloid notes, Kim "really likes the house" and doesn't really want to move.

In January, a source told Page Six that Kim was desperate to keep the home.

"Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that's where the kids are based and growing up. That is their home," Page Six's source said. "She owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye owns the actual house. They've both put a lot of money into renovating it."

Kanye is expected to permanently live at his ranch in Wyoming, where he's spent the bulk of his time over the last several years.

After months of speculation that their marriage was on the rocks, Kim formally pulled the plug last month and filed for divorce. The split is reportedly amicable, and Kim is filling for joint legal and physical custody of daughter North, 7, son Saint, 5, daughter Chicago, 3, and son Psalm, 20 months. By all accounts, the reality TV star will still have the lion's share of custody

While Kim is clearly moving forward with the divorce, Kanye apparently has hope for a reconciliation.

"The divorce has been difficult for him, but knowing that he has access to his little ones and has split custody is making the transition easier," a source told ET. "Kim and Kanye are in contact with regards to their kids. Kanye has hope that they will reconcile, but he is not expecting that in the immediate future."

Kim, though, is happy just co-parenting, as the source added that she's "absolutely relieved" to be ending the marriage.

"She is happy to see that chapter close. She knows that it is what is healthiest for her and her family and she is ready to put this hardship behind her both publicly and personally," the source said. "Kim has had her moments of feeling overwhelmed as a mom, of course, but the fact that her family has been so unified and supported her through this difficult time has made things so much easier for her to process."

Court win

Sofia Vergara's 7-year battle over embryos is likely over

The nearly-seven year battle between Sofia Vergara and her ex over frozen embryos appears to be over.

A judge permanently blocked her ex, Nick Loeb, from using them with a surrogate without the "Modern Family" star's consent, which she doesn't ever plan on giving.

The embryo battle has been going on ever since Sofia and Nick split in 2014. After that, Nick fought for years — in multiple states — to gain control of two frozen embryos from the duo's 2013 IVF treatments. He even set up a trust for them under Louisiana law, despite the fact that he has no ties to The Pelican State. He even gave them names in court papers, reports indicate.

Earlier this year, Nick lost an appeal in Louisiana over the embryos, as the court claimed it was blatantly obvious that he filed for custody there due to the favorable laws towards unborn children.

The new ruling, according to TMZ, said that a contract signed by both Sofia and Nick in 2013 remains valid, and in that paperwork, both parents have to agree to bring the embryos to term.

Now that Nick has been shot down in both Louisiana and California, he's basically at the end of the line.

Nick has a daughter with a girlfriend who lives in Europe, Page Six said. Sofia married Joe Manganiello in 2015. She has one adult child from a previous relationship.

Break-in attempt

Masked man attempts break-in at Sandra Lee's home

A masked man was caught on video trying to break into Sandra Lee's home twice last month, according to new reporting.

People magazine said a doorbell camera shows a masked man attempting to get inside the Food Network star's front door twice within a 20-minute period early on Feb. 11. The attempted break-in came just days after Sandra revealed that she had a Bob Mackie coat that was once worn by Cher on the "Sonny and Cher Show."

It doesn't appear that the would-be thief gained entry, and it didn't appear that anything was taken from the home.

Sandra, who wasn't home at the time, didn't recognize the man in the doorbell camera video. She has since increased security and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is said to be investigating the incident.

Last year, Sandra split with embattled New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and moved out of the home they shared. On social media on December, she said she "decided to get back to me."

Sandra, who dated the governor for 14 years, has not commented publicly on the recent sexual harassment claims levied his way, nor has she spoken about the nursing home scandal in which he's accused of underreporting COVID-related deaths.

Surgery possibility

Viral Olympian McKayla Maroney my need surgery for kidney stones

Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney is feeling better after her recent hospitalization for kidney stones, but she's not out of the woods yet. The 25-year-old still might need surgery.

The viral star updated her health condition on one of her two Instagram pages, saying the medical episode was a "wildcard" she didn't foresee.

"February ended with quite a bang for me! I was rushed to the ER in excruciating pain, and there I found out I have a few large kidney stones!! Yikes," she said on social media alongside a video of a tranquil waterfall. "I'm still waiting to meet with a specialist, because I might need some surgery — I'm not sure yet!"

She continued, "Thankfully I have stopped throwing up, and I'm experiencing no pain today! Just drinking tons of water!"

In the early morning hours of Feb. 25, the infamous athlete posted a photo of the Benjamin & Carmela Du Emergency Pavilion in Orange County, California. She later posted images from a hospital bed on her Instagram Story and spoke about the pain she was experiencing in her back and stomach.

In her new post, McKayla said life was moving quickly before the kidney stones, but she's now happy with a slower pace.

"I love when life pulls a wild card, and I'm forced to adjust. It puts all the little stresses I previously had into perspective," she penned. "My goal this month is to go with flow. I'm excited to try out a new more relaxed mindset!"

McKayla was a member of the 2012 gold medal-winning United States Olympics team that was dubbed the "Fierce Five." She also won an individual silver medal on the vault. At the ceremony during which she received her silver medal, McKayla seemed less than thrilled with the results — she memorably appeared unimpressed while pictured on the podium, creating one of the most viral moments of the year. She later recreated her "not impressed" look with then-President Barack Obama during a visit to the White House.

Since retiring from competitive gymnastics, McKayla has acted on several TV shows, including "Hart of Dixie" and "Bones." She's also played herself on several other programs.

hair care

The one thing Ashley Judd wants after 'harrowing' rainforest incident

Following her traumatic experience in the Congo rainforest, Ashley Judd has just one simple request: she wants to wash her hair.

Nearly three weeks ago, the actress revealed that she shattered her leg and nearly lost it after she tripped over a fallen tree while in the Congo, where she was tracking bonobos, an endangered species of great apes. On Feb. 16, she posted several photos of herself being carried out of the jungle via a hammock and driven out on a scooter. It took more than two days for her to receive professional medical help.

She has since undergone an eight-hour surgery to repair nerve damage in her leg, which was broken in four places.

As she heals, Ashley's famous sister said the "Double Jeopardy" actress just wants a rinse.

"I was looking up how to wash hair for someone who's lying down in bed because she texted me, 'Can you wash my hair?" Wynonna Judd told Page Six. "Therein lies the job of a big sister right there. She said, 'I have a request. Can you wash my hair?' I said, 'sure,' so I'm looking up ways to wash someone's hair lying down."

The famous country singer said Ashley is "still processing" the accident.

Last week, Ashley posted a video of herself walking again with the assistance of a walker. She also profusely thanked the medical teams who helped her.

"Let us always remember those without insurance," she wrote on Instagram. "Let us remember those who do not have choices. Let us remember those who are lonely and afraid."

TMZ reports that a man collapsed face down at baggage claim in the Newark Airport on March 1. Dr. Oz just happened to be in the baggage claim area and sprung into action.

Oz, the report says, rolled the man, cleared his airway and began giving CPR. He eventually started using a defibrillator. TMZ said the man "flatlined," but Oz shocked him back to life using the defibrillator. A Port Authority police officer helped Oz during the rescue.

A photo from the emergency shows a crowd looking on after medical personnel arrived.

It's believed that the man suffered a heart attack and is recovering in a New Jersey hospital. He is reportedly doing "okay" and Oz has been in touch with the man's wife, who was traveling with him.

Oz has not publicly commented on the incident.

Australian annoyance

Rose Byrne will 'snap' if she gets asked this question again…

Rose Byrne has been asked a lot of things by reporters and fans over the years, but one question continues to come up — usually from fans — and it drives her crazy.

While on the "Ladies First" podcast, the "Neighbors" actress said she's sick of being asked about the Australian outback and its animals.

"People are just fascinated with the Australian outback and the wildlife and the dangerous animals and so on and so forth," she said, adding that she doesn't know much about the country's famous wildness because she's a "city girl."

"It's as foreign to me as it is to them, because I grew up in the city," an animated Rose said. "I'm a city mouse. I love living in cities."

"I'm going to snap," she joked. "If you ask me about a kangaroo…"

Although the Emmy-nominated actress was born in Sydney, she's spent the better part of two decades in New York City. She and her husband of nine years, Bobby Cannavale, recently traveled back to her native country while he filmed his Hulu limited series "Nine Perfect Strangers," which is is produced by Nicole Kidman.

The couple has since returned to the United States. Last month, Rose was seen filming her Apple TV+ dramedy "Physical" in Los Angeles.

Divorce filing

'Fantastic Four' actor files for divorce after decision to 'leave' family

"Fantastic Four" actor Ioan Gruffudd has filed for divorce from his wife of 13 years, "The Mentalist" star Alice Evans.

The filing was merely a formality at this point, as the actor had already made the decision to "leave" his family earlier this year.

The Blast reported on March 2 that Ioan filed the docs in Los Angeles, but it's unclear if Alice is asking for child support or spousal support or whether the estranged couple had a prenuptial agreement.

On Jan. 25, Alice announced the split on Twitter in fairly dramatic fashion. "Sad news. My believed husband/soulmate of 20 years, Ioan Gruffudd, has announced he is to leave his family, starting next week," the actress wrote, according to screen grabs published by Page Six. "Me and our young daughters girls are very confused and sad. We haven't been given a reason except that he 'no longer loves me.'"

The tweet was quickly deleted. However, Alice claimed afterward that she didn't take down the tweet and alleged that Ioan, who many know from his bit role in "Titanic," deleted it.

"I didn't delete the tweet from a few hours ago about him leaving. He did. From my account," she said on Jan. 26. "And hell yes when I am being gaslit and mentally tortured then hell yes I will wash my linen in public."

Ioan and Alice, who met on the set of "102 Dalmatians" in 2000, share daughters Ella and Elsie 7.

In her tweets, Alice implied that she was blindsided by Ioan's decision in late January. Friends and family, though, didn't seem shocked

Ioan's father, Peter Griffiths, told the Daily Mail he was "aware" of issues between the former long-term couple, so the split wasn't a "complete surprise."

"I have spoken to Ioan and we are of course incredibly sad but I do not want to go into too much detail," he said. "We are very sad, particularly for our two granddaughters. It is just very sad, but these things do happen and marriages do end."

Additionally, a source close to Alice noted that tension had been building.

"Obviously there is a lot of trouble there and obviously he's keeping a lid on it. She's probably very upset to go so far publicly with it. There is a feeling that there's probably another person involved," the friend said. "Alice is quite a smart cookie, so her going public might be her way of trying to smoke somebody out, if you get my drift, and create a bit of scandal to expose any infidelity."

Another friend was "not at all surprised" by the marriage is imploding, the Mail said.
