Rick Moranis was the victim of a random, unprovoked attack in New York City this week, police confirmed.
The incident was caught on camera in a surveillance clip.
In quoting New York police officials, CBS New York said the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" star was walking near his apartment building around 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 1 when a stranger randomly punched him.
Rick was knocked to the ground and was eventually evaluated at the hospital for pain in his head, back and right hip. The actor reported the attack to police after his hospital visit.
The suspect, wearing an "I [heart] NY" hoodie and a backpack, was seen walking away after slugging the actor. Police are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading them to the suspect.
