Gordon Ramsay is no stranger to cooking for celebrities and worldwide dignitaries, but he didn't hesitate when asked if he remembers the greatest meal he's ever cooked and who it was for.
"Man, I think cooking for Lady Di once," he said, referring to the late Princess Diana.
The famed chef's comment came while appearing on an episode of "Gordon, Gino and Fred Go Greek!," which follows Gordon, Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix throughout Greece.
While bonding over moussaka, Gino wondered if Diana was kind.
"Oh, beautiful," the "Hell's Kitchen" star said before comparing her beauty to that of a famous Greek island. "I mean, here is renowned as the supermodel of the islets—Santorini—and she, by far, was one the most gracious members of the royal family I've ever met."
Gordon didn't specify what exactly he cooked for the royal, but several media outlets pointed to a 2016 interview in which he spoke about preparing a meal for Diana.
"I was very fortunate to cook for her at Aubergine back in the early days," he told The Daily Mail. "When she came in she was so normal. No airs and graces, security outside, she had the lunch menu and didn't go a la carte. I think it was a pressed leek terrine and her main course was sea bass."
