Oprah Winfrey's stimulus package is something special! In response to the financial devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic, Winfrey made sure to pay her good fortune forward.

In an in interview on Nancy O'Dell's just-launched channel on talkshoplive, Winfrey revealed she's been mailing checks of $15,000 to people in need throughout the pandemic.
"I literally have been, people don't know this, going through the newspaper finding stories of people who weren't doing well in their life, sending them money, trying to help because I know I have been blessed," the billionaire explained.
The TV host's latest gifting may lack the pizzaz of her infamous car giveaway of 2004, but this time she's made sure her recipients will avoid any tax burden from her generosity (the 276 audience members who were gifted a car were expected to pay a tax on their new wheels of as much as $7,000).
"I sent the maximum amount that the government allows you to give a person, which is $15,000 dollars per person, and saying I know it's going to be awhile before you're working let me help you out," she explained, noting that she had made a list of people who she knew would not be working during the pandemic, for her to gift them.
"I called it my personal pandemic relief package for friends," the 67-year-old explained, without sharing how many people have been lucky enough to receive the surprise funds from her. "So, I think it has made me more thoughtful, the more blessed I become the more I think about people who are not and what can I do to help them."
