It's all about the Benjamins. Rapper T.I. owes the federal government more than $4.5 million in unpaid taxes, it's been revealed, and the government is coming after all of his property.
The Daily Mail obtained documents that show that on July 30, the IRS filed two tax liens again the rapper for unpaid taxes in 2012 and 2013.
It's believed that T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, has the money to pay Uncle Sam, but he still has not. He was recently named one of the top 10 highest-earning rappers, having earned an estimated $75 million.
In the first of the two liens, the rapper and his wife are named, and documents reveal that he owes $1,397,283.47 for 2012. In 2013, the lien says he owes $3,173,476.39 on his personal income for the year.
Aside from his music career, T.I. has established himself as a respected actor and entrepreneur. He has several clothing lines and owes multiple restaurants and bars in Atlanta. He once had an MTV reality show, as well.
From time to time, he is known to flaunt his wealth on Instagram, where he posts about jewelry, exotic vacations and expensive cars.
As an aspiring rapper, T.I. was known as "Rubber Band Man," a reference to his custom of wearing rubber bands around the wrist to denote wealth.
