You gotta love a woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Following the season 8 premiere of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York City" on Wednesday night, show star Bethenny Frankel sat down for a candid chat with Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live."
A caller immediately asked Bethenny, 45, to clarify comments she made on the show about new cast member Julianne (Jules) Wainstein's weight.
"I knew that was coming, I have a brand called Skinnygirl…just watch what happens," the entrepreneur responded.
On the episode, Bethenny suggested that Jules might have an eating disorder.
"Wainstein reminds me of me mom. It freaks me out a little bit," said Bethenny, whose mother had an eating disorder.
"She looks like a really thin girl ... she looks like there's an issue." Frankel added, "I wrote a book called Naturally Thin. This is not naturally thin."
The Skinnygirl mogul was also asked about her chilly response to Erika Girardi from "The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills."
Look, I am often the one that will say what everyone is thinking,' she remarked, implying that the others agreed when she called Erika's music video 'tacky.'
'I said what I thought, I own it,' she added.
Ultimately, Bethenny explained, season 8 will have plenty of surprises. She said she and Jules didn't have the smoothest relationship, but we have to watch if we want to see how it all unfolds.
'We have a little bit of a rocky road…listen, they come in and I say what I think,' says Bethenny. Doesn't matter if you're new or old, I have ripped Ramona [Singer] and Luann [de Lesseps],' she continued.
'I've been ripped by Ramona on the Brooklyn bridge..Don't hate the player, hate the game, baby."
When asked about her love life, Bethenny, who is still trying to finalize her divorce from estranged husband Jason Hoppy for over three years, says "it's now as dry as a bone, it's as dry as the grey gardens' petunia."
Although her divorce has been financially and emotionally draining, Frankel says she believes it's almost over. "I feel like we're on the 18th hole, I think we're at the end of it," she said.
'I like to be good at things so I figure if I'm gonna get a divorce I'm going to have the longest and best and most expensive divorce, you know, it's like a purse,' she joked.
'It's gnarly, and I didn't see it as being this way…but here we are,' she said.
