All hail Queen Bey!
One day before making her appearance at Super Bowl 50, Beyoncé has released a new surprise single and music video, "Formation," which features her 3-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
The video, which is her first solo release in over a year, features some serious dance moves in an empty pool, sultry singing atop a floating police car and more than a few killer ensembles. The video is set in New Orleans and features both Mardi Gras and #BlackLivesMatter imagery.
One of the best lyrics in the explicit song is the line, "I just might be a black Bill Gates in the making."
"Formation" is currently available on hubby Jay Z's Tidal service.
The 34-year-old has done her best to stay out of the limelight in the past year, so if fans haven't gotten enough of her with this new music morsel, they can feast their peepers on Beyonce's guest appearance during Super Bowl 50's half-time show on Feb. 7. Bey and Bruno Mars will be joining Coldplay for the band's not-to-be missed half-time performance.
