Cut-outs, a thigh-high slit, and low back! Oh my!
Brie Larson rocked all of these sexy fashion elements while arriving on the red carpet of the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Jan. 30. The star sported a pale blue Versace gown, with Swarovski crystal detailed knot elements, daring cut outs, a high slit, and a pop of color with an orange strap along the dress' low back.
E!'s Giuliana Rancic asked how Brie landed on the edgy selection straight from the runway, that featured numerous slits and cut outs, and the actress explained that she just clicked with the gown. "It was the first one I put on and I just knew."
While many stars have fittings for their red carpet garb weeks in advance, Brie also confessed that she only decided hours before. "I'm sort of like, 'we'll figure it out two hours before you walk out, that sounds good,'" the "Room" star joked.
The actress is the frontrunner to take home Best Actress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, fresh off her win at the 2016 Golden Globes. Film journalists have set her odds at winning at 9/5, despite the fact that this is her first SAG nomination.
Brie took home her first Golden Globe on Jan. 10 for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama, beating out fellow nominees Cate Blanchett, Saoirse Ronan, Rooney Mara and Alicia Vikander.
Aside from taking home the gold statuette, the actress also made waves in the fashion world for her Golden Globes gown. Brie donned a beaded gold halter dress by Calvin Klein to that event, and wound up on multiple best dressed lists.
