CeeLo Green, 42, took to social media late on Saturday night, Dec. 17, to address his wellbeing and set the record straight on the leaked footage of what appeared to be a cell phone exploding in his ear.

"I just want to let everybody that I am alive and I'm well, and I'm OK," the "Forget You" singer said in a message later posted to Instagram. "Truthfully, I'm really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today."

"The Voice" coach felt badly that the scary scene was misconstrued into a real event, but revealed that it was merely part of a new music video he was working on.

"Actually, what you saw today was a clip from a smaller video we were shooting for a new project I'm doing called 'Gnarly Davidson,'" he explained. "It's supposed to set up and introduce the new character identity."

CeeLo assured fans that he was totally fine, thanked them and apologized for the incident.

"Forgive me, y'all," he went on. "I'm still going to release the music."

The aforementioned CCTV clip of CeeLo showed the rapper falling to the floor in the studio after his cell seemingly burst into flames while he was on a call.

Luckily, this was all just a mix-up and nobody was really hurt.
