Even superstars can't escape the pressure of making mom happy.

Janet Jackson is usually in "Control" of her life, but Page Six says it was her mother, Katherine Jackson, who pressured the singer into getting pregnant.

A Jackson relative spoke to the gossip outlet and said the family matriarch broached the subject with Janet, who will turn 50 on May 16.

"[Katherine Jackson] said to Janet, 'You cannot afford to wait too much longer. I was already a grandma at your age,'" said the insider, who also confirmed that the "Back to Sleep" singer is expecting her first child with her 41-year-old billionaire husband, Wissam Al Mana.

Katherine, 86, is said to be "thrilled" over Janet's pregnancy and the fact that this baby will make her a grandmother for the 28th time.

"It would mean that all of her children have given her grandchildren," the source added.

"She hopes that she can be in the room when Janet gives birth."

The superstar singer is reportedly between two and three months along in her pregnancy. Last month she posted a video for her fans, announcing she was putting the breaks on her Unbreakable World Tour indefinitely as she and Al Mana started "planning" their family.

Janet has yet to publicly confirm the state of her uterus, but she hasn't shut down any rumors either. We'll take that as a positive sign that an heir to Janet's throne is on the way!
