Christy Carlson Romano, the star of "Kim Possible" and "Even Stevens" and many other Disney shows, got a call last week that rocked her world -- her husband had been stabbed.

Turns out, her husband of over two years, Brendan Rooney, was hospitalized after he rescued a woman from being assaulted by a man who had punched her and pulled a knife on her.

Brendan, who's wife is pregnant with their first child, is ok after receiving 14 stitches.

Christy detailed what happened, along with her desperation that evening, in an Instagram picture that shows her husband receiving medical treatment on the street.

Okay, so after I got over the shock of being pregnant, out of town and getting a late night call from my husband's brother that said my "husband can't come to the phone cause he's in an ambulance"...I tracked down his whereabouts from the closest hospital near the restaurant he was at. Found him in the ER. He tore up his knee and needed 14 stitches, but he's okay. Then I found out he flung himself into danger to save a young woman's life. He saw a man punch a woman in the face, then he pulled out a knife on her. My husband bolted, took the man down by the neck in a choke hold, disarmed his knife, and saved the young woman's life! Like, for real? Is this the father of my child? Not much shocks me but...holy cow!!!!! What am I supposed to feel here???? The answer is Gratitude. I love you @thebrendanrooney you are a badass #Marine, a good man, and I am blessed to have you in my life. And also please stay home with the doors locked from now on while me and our fetus are out of town. #grateful #mansman #man #love #fathertobe #husband #hubby #wife #proud @marines

"I tracked down his whereabouts from the closest hospital near the restaurant he was at. Found him in the ER. He tore up his knee and needed 14 stitches, but he's okay."

It was then that she found out what happened to her husband, a former Marine who has also had small parts in "Argo" and "Prism."

"He flung himself into danger to save a young woman's life. He saw a man punch a woman in the face, then he pulled out a knife on her," she wrote. "My husband bolted, took the man down by the neck in a choke hold, disarmed his knife, and saved the young woman's life!"

She continued, "Like, for real? Is this the father of my child? Not much shocks me but...holy cow!!!!! What am I supposed to feel here???? The answer is Gratitude. Brendan seemed to dismiss the adoration a bit, reposting his wife's Instagram photo and message, writing "Thanks for the love, babe."

To show that he is recovering nicely, he took to Instagram to share a photo of himself giving a thumbs up.

"Thank you all for the tremendous outpour of support. Much love to my wife, @thechristycarlsonromano for tending to me these past few days while pregnant (my knee's pretty banged up), and to my family, most notably my brother, Ryan for his help in deescalating the situation," he wrote. "Semper Fi to all my Marine brothers and sisters who've cheered me on and kudos to all the other military personnel who've done the same; our creeds don't leave us when our contracts end... Again, thank you all. - B."

En route to see #josegonzalez!
