Kaley Cuoco is a known animal lover and proud pet owner, but sometimes a big heart comes with big costs. After losing two of her own pets earlier this year, the actress is now mourning the death of her friend's pit bull Angel, who is the beloved mascot for the Stand Up For Pits Foundation.

The "Big Bang Theory" actress took to Instagram on April 2 to share the sad news, along with a moving tribute to the late dog, who is owned by the head of the foundation, Rebecca Corry.

Along with the photo collage of her and the precious pit bull pup, Kaley wrote, "Rest in peace, Angel. My heart is so heavy right now. This dog was more human and true than any of us. She exuded love and forgiveness and is the reason I fell so in love with pit rescue- this dog paved the way for pits everywhere, and showed the world what rescuing a pit bull really means. Her memory will live on in all the hearts she has touched..."

Unfortunately saying goodbye to her own beloved pets has become a common occurrence for the actress, who also split from her husband Ryan Sweeting in 2015.

After her dog Chester passed away on Jan. 8, Kaley said that when she rescues dogs she isn't always aware of the health issues they have, explaining, "We rescue these angels blindly and have no idea what problems they may have. I'm still in shock but I just keep feeling blessed to have him in my life even for a small amount of time."

Sadly just one week prior to Chester's death, Kaley, who had announced on Instagram that she'd lost her beloved dog Petey, whom she'd had for 15 years.

At the time the sitcom star posted a collage of images of her with the dog and wrote, "Anyone who knows me, knows Petey. He was basically the first dog I ever had." The blonde also explained, "I was gifted him on my sweet 16, by my bf at the time.. I was afraid I would get in trouble so I hid him in my bedroom for 3 days until my parents found out- they said I had to take care of him if I was to keep him, that he would be mine!"

Anyone who knows me, knows Petey. He was basically the first dog I ever had... I was gifted him on my sweet 16, by my bf at the time.. I was afraid I would get in trouble so I hid him in my bedroom for 3 days until my parents found out- they said I had to take care of him if I was to keep him , that he would be mine! I was so excited!! When I moved out of my parents house at 17, I had plans to take him with me but he had stolen my parents hearts and they wouldn't let me! Here we are 15 years later. My folks gave him the greatest life and he taught us what it meant to love an adoption pup. I have since named my corporation after him (peteypie inc) and he has brought a lifetime of joy and laughs to our entire family. I know he will now enjoy doggie heaven where there will be an abundance of greenies just for him. This little guy, I will never ever forget... πŸΆπŸ™πŸ½

While Kaley has clearly had some sad times in 2015 and 2016, there appears to be a glimmer of sunshine in her personal life. The funny lady is rumored to be dating equestrian Karl Cook. She's been posting a plethora of playful Instagram pics of the two together. Karl's father Scott Cook founded software firm Intuit and is estimated by Forbes magazine to have a net worth of around $2 billion.

Not a bad rebound guy if you ask us!
