Stop us if you've heard this before: Katt Williams is in trouble with the law.
The Los Angeles City Attorney charged the comedian with misdemeanor battery for allegedly punching a woman last month.
According to TMZ, Kat was arrested at Sportsmen's Lodge restaurant in the Los Angeles area after a female employee accused him of assaulting her. Police said that the incident occurred because Katt felt disrespected by the way the woman was speaking to him.
The woman had visible but minor injuries when the police arrived, the celebrity website said.
The year of 2016 has not been good to Katt, as he's been arrested numerous times for a variety of crimes, mostly assault.
In February, a group of women claimed they ran into Katt and his 15-person entourage in Atlanta in the early morning hours and asked for a photo. Katt reportedly wasn't game for the photo op. The women allege that when he saw one of them recording him, he "lost it" and punched one of them. That's when an all-out brawl began. During the fight, Katt allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the women.
A few days later, Katt was arrested in Atlanta for assaulting a clerk at a pool supply company. The funnyman allegedly got into a verbal altercation with an employee, which eventually escalated. Katt reportedly threw something at the clerk and punched the employee. He later said the employee hurled racial slurs at him.
A month after that, Katt allegedly threw a salt shaker at the manager of an Atlanta seafood restaurant, striking him and bloodying his lip. Katt left the scene, but was later arrested.
In between all that, his house was raided as part of a previous investigation.
If convicted of the most recent assault, he could face up to six months in jail.
