When you're apparently massively in debt, why not spend the equivalent of a car loan on sink fixtures?
People magazine said the couple is dropping loads of cash on their dream digs.
"They both make a ton of money but they also spend a ton. And they are sparing no expense with their new house," a source tells the magazine. "$20,000 fixtures, the perfect flooring -- the costs have been endless."
As is often documented on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," the famous couple has been living in Kris Jenner's home while their $20 million home is being finished. And, things don't always go smoothly there.
In a post on her subscription-based site earlier this month, the star complained that she is "hating" living with her momager.
"I'm ready to be in our home," she said.
In the meantime, the couple's Bel-Air mansion remains on the market, where it's remained for quite some time.
"It was a huge mistake," a family source tells People of the home that the couple never lived in, yet bought for $11 million in 2013. "Both Kim and Kanye were really disappointed in how that turned out."
Interestingly enough, the lavish expenses in their still-under construction home come as Kanye struggles mightily with money issues.
Over the weekend, "The Life of Pablo" artist shocked everyone when he said he was $53 million in debt and asked Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for $1 billion to invest in his ideas. He later clarified he's "personally rich" but needs "access to more money in order to bring more beautiful ideas to the world."
Forbes estimates that Kim earned $53 million last year, whereas Kanye took in $20 million.
