And it did not disappoint!
The style icon/former "Full House" star was spotted with an absolutely huge bauble on her hand in New York on March 2. The ring appears to be vintage with a simple gold band. But it's blindingly big.
Mary-Kate rocked the ring while wearing a fashionable trench coat and her hair pulled back. The sapphire and diamond ring is reportedly designed by Cartier, as it her gold wedding band.
It's been reported that Mary-Kate's hubby, who's the brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, chose the vintage Cartier ring for his bride at a Sotheby's auction, where it sold for $81,250.
In Sotheby's catalog description notes, it says the ring is from 1953 and lists it as having a 4-carat European-cut center stone, plus 16 calibré-cut sapphires surrounding it and about 1.5 carats of diamonds.
So yeah, it's nothing short of impressive.
The intensely-private couple was engaged in February 2015. They were married in a private ceremony with only about 50 people in attendance.
At the time, the New York Post's gossip column, Page Six, said cocktails were served in a rear garden ahead of an indoor dinner at a private Manhattan residence on 49th Street.
Furthermore, one fascinating detail has emerged: the newspaper quoted a source who says that tables at the wedding reception featured "bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night."
Many have shuddered at the relationship, mainly due to the 17-year age difference. Mary-Kate knows what the naysayers have said, but she doesn't really give it much thought.
"Everyone has an opinion," Mary-Kate has said of their relationship. "I find it's better to focus on what's in front of you and to keep putting one foot in front of the other."
The new images come as many of Mary-Kate's former "Full House" costars are currently starring in the Netflix revival of the show, "Fuller House."
In December, upon hearing that the-half of the famous twins had wed, John Stamos posted a sweet throwback picture of the girls. He captioned the image, "'In the blink of an eye.' Congrats MK."
