Unlike Princess Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson, the 37-year-old did not give her children names connected to Queen Victoria. Beatrice's moniker is in honor of Victoria's youngest daughter with Prince Albert. Princess Eugenie's middle name, Eugenie Victoria Helena, is in remembrance of the late monarch.

When Princess Eugenie had her two sons with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, she followed Sarah Ferguson's tradition. August Philip Hawke Brooksbank was Prince Albert's middle name. Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank honors Queen Victoria's brother-in-law, Ernest II, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

Princess Beatrice went a different route with her little ones with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. While both daughters' middle names pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, their first names, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi and Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, aren't connected to Queen Victoria.
