Meg Ryan was a top trending topic on the Internet after she appeared at the Tony Awards on Sunday night with many people commenting on her appearance.

While wearing an ivory dress and sheer sleeves (some criticized the dress while others liked it), she was skewered on the Internet because of how different her face looked, at least when being compared to her "Sleepless in Seattle" days.

Many commented that she had gone under the knife. For the record: Her hair looked perfectly tousled, hearkening back to her lovable role in "You've Got Mail."

Meg, who has been largely out of the Hollywood spotlight for a while, introduced a performance by the cast of "She Loves Me" at the June 12 awards show.

Last year, Meg spoke to Porter magazine about living her life in the public eye.

"I don't pay a lot of attention frankly," she said of what's written about her. "There's a lot of hatred in the world today; it's so easy to judge. Imagine being a hater, how stupid! My women friends are not sitting around talking about … well, sometimes there are conversations like that, but the people I value talk about kids growing up, what kind of world they are going into, what we are eating, what we are breathing."

She wasn't the only big name who was being talked about their appearance in the media on Monday morning.

According to In Touch, Tom Cruise is interested in a little nip and tuck and recently traveled to Switzerland to consult about a facelift.

The actor, the magazine claims, fears his "days as a Hollywood heartthrob are slipping further behind him, and he's determined to put a stop to it."

He reportedly is seeing a "world-renowned plastic surgeon."

However, celebrity news policing website Gossip Cop says the report of Tom's so-called secret plastic surgery trip is categorically false.
