There's no doubt that Michael Buble has led a charmed life, being an internationally-renowned artist and being the father of two adorable boys. In fact, he only has one regret in his life and it has nothing to do with singing.
"The only regret in my life was it took this long to have kids," the 41-year-old said while appearing on "Loose Women" on Friday. "I had no idea the perspective it would give me. It's all I care about. I love them too much probably. It's made everything else so insignificant, moments that I was afraid of and moments that would overwhelm me have now become a joy because I've realized how not serious they are compared to what is really important, which is Noah and Eli and that's it."
The crooner is serious about being there for his wife, Argentinian actress Luisana Lopilato, whom he married in 2011, and his two boys Noah, 3, and Elias, 9 months. But, to do that properly, it involved changing his lifestyle, which he did.
In 2012, it was reported that he lost over 30 pounds in a dramatic slim down, although he's never publicly proclaimed how much weight he lost.
"The truth about kind of what happened was, I had this vocal surgery, and during the surgery they made me do a physical where they make you go on a bicycle...and you have to get your heart rate up to about 168 I think for 8 minutes at a time or something like that and I thought I was going to die," he said.
"It was horrible. I did it and my legs were like all wimpy and shaky and then I looked at my assistant and I got off, and I said 'that's it, no way, I want to be old, I want to be an old man with these babies, and I'm like not in the shape I need to be in,' and that was simply it. It wasn't like I had this epiphany or [was like] 'I'm never going to drink again.'"
