Whoa.

Nelly is in hot water with the federal government. The St. Louis rapper, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., was hit with a $2,412,283 tax lien in August, reports TMZ.

It's so huge, reports TMZ, the government could start seizing the "Hot in Herre" performer's assets and property.

Earlier this year, Nelly, 41, also found himself in tax trouble with the state of Missouri.

TMZ reports that the Missouri Department of Revenue said the St. Louis rapper owes $149,511 in unpaid state taxes from 2013. (He originally owed $113,533, but the rest is accrued interest. Yikes!)

TMZ also reports that Nelly is working with tax officials to get his money issues resolved.

But Nelly's not the only star who's been in trouble with the IRS for unpaid taxes in recent months.

In July 2016, Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott made headlines after they were slapped with a federal tax lien for $707,487.30 in unpaid taxes for 2014.

That news came just a few weeks after TMZ revealed the couple owed the State of California $259,108.23 in back taxes, also for 2014.

And that followed news that Tori was in some major credit card debt too: In January 2016, American Express sued her to the tune of $37,981.97 for unpaid bills.
