NeNe Leakes' son, Brentt, was robbed this week while hawking merchandise for his famous mother during one of her performances.
According to TMZ, the robbery went down at The Promontory in Chicago. Brentt, 17, was selling his mom's merchandise during her "So Nasty, So Rude" comedy tour, when he was approached by an irate male fan.
Apparently the customer was demanding a refund for something he purchased, but Brentt refused to give the man his money back. The suspect then grabbed Brentt's backpack which contained his wallet and his laptop.
No arrests have been made.
The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star is none to pleased with the incident and voiced her displeasure on Twitter.
"Kcm2779 with Pennsylvania tags that came to my Chicago Show stole my son MCM book bag! We got the cops on u boo," she wrote, later adding, "The police r looking 4 u! We also see u on the surveillance cameras."
TMZ claims that NeNe is actually most upset that her son lost in ID in the theft, as it was in the bag.
Aside from the theft, NeNe seems thrilled with her Chicago shows, seeing as she shared a video on Instagram where she gave thanks for her Windy City fans.
"All love and kisses 💋Thanks to all my Chicago followers that came out last nite and supported my show!," she captioned her video. "It was absolutely amazing and so are you😘 overwhelmed with love❤️."
NeNe has a way of seeing the bright side of things. In August 2015 it was reported that she owed more than $800,000 in back taxes to the federal government from 2014. Many on Twitter poked fun at her.
"4 all those that r asking, reporting & concern...Yes I am broke & unemployed. Just another dumb Celeb that doesn't know how 2 money manage😩," she jokingly tweeted at the time.
She followed with another tongue-in-cheek tweet, saying, "My priorities r all screwed up! I'm just a damn fool out here about to lose my house! Please start a Go Fund Me."
