It's time to download Tinder!
Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is using the dating app, and it sounds like he could find real love on there.
The 31-year-old told Cosmopolitan, "I heard it took off in Sochi [at the 2014 Winter Olympics] and then people were talking about it and I was like, 'Let me try this. So I got on it and I've been matching up with a bunch of gorgeous women who are smart, they have professional jobs and everything. I'm like, 'Wow, this is perfect.'"
As for how it's working out for him, he admitted, "So far I haven't had any dates or anything. I've just been talking with a couple [women]."
Don't expect to see him on every dating app, though.
He explained why he doesn't want to use Tinder's competitors Bumble or Raya.
"Well with Bumble, the girl always has to make the first [move], and I don't really like that," he said. "I don't think that's a woman job. So I got off that. And then Raya [an app for celebrities and creatives], I don't know. I'm living in Charlotte so that didn't really work because most of the women you link up with are either in L.A. or New York."
For the single ladies of Charlotte, we can only hope you're downloading Tinder now and swiping away!
There will be a brief time that you don't need to swipe, though, as Ryan is going to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Ryan qualified for the 4x200m team by finishing in fourth place at the team trials in Omaha, Nebraska. He has 11 Olympic medals but recently told reporters at the U.S. Olympic Team's training camp in San Antonio, "I feel like it's kind of like my first Olympics."
As excited as he is, he's used to the attention.
"I get asked to, you know, lift up my shirt to see my abs or it's... I think it's my eyes," he told The Insider With Yahoo. "They say, like, my eyes are very soothing."
Don't worry, we're swiping right to you, Ryan.
