The couple manned the counter themselves, with some help from a few employees, for Yummy Pop's soft opening in the French capital's Marais district -- and fans were delighted, as evidenced by a crowd of customers waiting outside that swelled to a couple hundred strong.
"It has been a dream of mine and my family for several years to bring our favorite American snack to our favorite European city," Scarlett, 31, said in a statement earlier in the week.
"I am so excited to introduce Yummy Pop, a labor of love and Epicurean enthusiasm. My hope is for Yummy Pop to become a Parisian snacking staple and a symbol of friendship between my two most beloved cities, Paris and New York," she continued.
The shop's popcorn flavors will change throughout the year, but the first menu features some mouth-watering tastes: Vermont maple, Vermont cheddar, sea salt and olive oil, strawberries and cream, chocolate-covered strawberries and -- ScarJo's personal fave -- truffle, parmesan and sage.
The Guardian reported that Romain's sister will manage the shop, which will cook and mix the popcorn fresh on its premises.
The couple have collaborated on their menu with chef Will Horowitz of Ducks Eatery and Harry and Ida's in New York.
If the shop is a success, they hope to open more.
