Tatyana Ali's had a big week! The former "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star announced on March 31 that she and her was set to marry Dr. Vaughn Rasberry later this summer and that the couple was expecting their first child together. Just one day later, Tatyana was out on the red carpet and showing off her baby bump at the BET Black Girls Rock! event in Newark, New Jersey on April 1.
The actress, who played Ashley Banks on the hit '90s sitcom, wowed in a curve-hugging blue dress, which highlighted her growing baby bump. The pregnant star looked radiant as she posed for photogs on the red carpet.
Earlier in the night, Tatyana posted a photo of herself and wrote, "On our way to @blackgirlsrock. I'm so floored by all of the support. Besos!!! Trying to answer all of these sweet tweets and messages."
A few days prior, the 37-year-old told ET, "Planning our wedding has been so exciting, but when we found out we were expecting, our perspective shifted completely."
She added, "We want our ceremony to really celebrate our newest blessing! Plus, I have the best wedding planner, Michael Russo. He's making everything so fun and stress free!"
The wedding planner has plenty of celeb weddings under his belt; he;s facilitated the weddings of Dancing With the Stars pro Witney Carson's wedding to Carson McAllister, Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa, Joey Fatone and Kelly Baldwin and Beverley Mitchell and Michael Cameron.
Tatyana admitted that the she and her fiance met online a year and a half ago. The pregnant star said, "Vaughn and I met on eHarmony! It was my first time dating Online. We wrote letters for months before we decided to Skype. And then, of course, met."
The former teen star also gushed about her man's romantic "perfect" proposal.
"He took me on a 45-minute hike in the Redwoods [in Yosemite, California], which he knows I absolutely love," Ali shares. "And proposed in the most picturesque clearing. Just the two of us. It was so thoughtful and perfect. We're best friends," she said.
